I love food! My family owns restaurants, so I’ve always grown up around food. This blog serves as an outlet for me to share some of my cooking and baking with you guys. Most of the pictures that you’ll see on this blog are results of recipes that I created myself, through trial and error and constant modification. I spend hours thinking about and developing a recipe before I finally get it “right”, and believe me, recipe development comes with many failed attempts and disappointments. But personally, I have a deep passion for food science and understanding the chemistry and properties behind different ingredients that causes them to react with each other in the way that they do, so the kitchen is really sort of a laboratory for me!
But more than food, I love Jesus. His love and grace never ceases to amaze me, and it really is what brings me to see the present day. If you ever want to hear my testimony about how I was once lost, depressed, and wandering in the dark, but was led out of that darkness and into the light by the gracious hand of God, then definitely feel free to message me! I love encouraging others and telling them about my transformation.
Some other random things about me – I love running, reading, candles, Eminem, hanging out in coffee shops, and having genuine talks with people. I am also probably one of the most random and weirdest people you will ever meet. Like I am… really… REALLY weird. And pretty funny. I also used to be a street rapper and participated in freestyle battles. Search for “Julia Ou Rap” on YouTube, and you’ll be able to find a rap I did on the Krebs Cycle! (major nerd alert).
